Weekly Meal Prep - Chef Matts Culinary Creations

    Weekly Meal Prep

Fresh, Chef-Prepared Meals Tailored to Your Diet — Cooked in Your Home Every Week

Tired of spending your Sunday afternoons in the kitchen — or relying on overpriced meal services that taste like reheated cafeteria food? Chef Matts weekly meal prep service brings a professional, personally trained chef into your home to cook fresh, restaurant-quality meals tailored to your exact dietary needs, health goals, and family preferences.

Unlike generic meal kit subscriptions, every dish is made from scratch in your own kitchen using hand-selected ingredients. When you eat the same chef's food every week, precision matters. Chef Matt lives with celiac disease — he doesn't just accommodate restrictions, he builds meals around them. Whether your household needs gluten-free, keto, dairy-free, paleo, or any combination, your meals are portioned, labeled, and stored in your fridge or freezer, ready to reheat and enjoy all week.

We serve families across South Jersey, the Jersey Shore, and the Philadelphia Main Line. Looking for something more special? Explore our private dinner parties or cooking classes.

Weekly meal prep is the most-booked private chef service across the practice. A typical engagement covers four to six dinners and a stretch of lunches, prepared in the client's home on a recurring cooking day, packaged for the week with reheat-specific labeling, and rotated through seasonal menus that adapt over time. It's the service that takes the daily question of "what's for dinner" off the household entirely.

Chef Matts Culinary Creations runs weekly meal prep engagements for households across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina.

    How Weekly Meal Prep Works

The structure is consistent and built around recurrence:

Consultation. Working conversation about the household — preferences, restrictions, allergies, dishes that get requested again and again, dishes that don't land. Cadence (weekly, twice-weekly, every other week) and cooking day set.

Calibration weeks. The first two weeks dial in the menu rotation. Feedback adjusts.

Standing service. Cooking day arrives. Chef shops or accepts a sourcing delivery, cooks on-site, packages the week's meals, labels each container with reheat guidance specific to that dish, and leaves the kitchen clean.

Ongoing adjustment. Menus rotate seasonally. Repeat dishes appear when requested, not by default. The rotation evolves as the household changes through the year.

What's Included in a Standard Week

A typical weekly meal prep delivery includes:

    • Four to six dinner entrées with appropriate sides
    • Lunch components — composed salads, grain bowls, sandwiches, or portioned proteins built for assembly
    • Soup or braise when seasonally appropriate
    • One or two breakfast or snack items if the household uses them

The exact mix is set by the household. Some clients want only dinners; some want primarily lunch components for travel; some run a balanced split. The rotation is built to the household.

    Sample Weekly Rotation

    • Monday: Sheet-pan roast salmon with miso glaze, jasmine rice, blistered green beans
    • Tuesday: Hand-cut pasta with tomato-braised short rib, parmesan, fresh herb
    • Wednesday: Roast chicken with crispy potatoes, lemon-dressed greens
    • Thursday: Lentil and vegetable stew with crusty bread
    • Friday: Composed grain bowl — grilled tenderloin tips, farro, roasted vegetables, tahini

Lunches: composed Cobb salad, chicken salad on country bread, miso-roasted vegetable bowl, soup of the week.

This is one example. Menus rotate. Seasons shift the rotation.

    Reheat Labeling

Each container is labeled with reheat guidance specific to that dish — because reheating a seared duck breast is not the same as reheating a braise. Standard labels include: dish name, date prepared, reheat method (oven temp + time, stovetop, microwave acceptable yes/no), and any final-touch instructions (add fresh herb, drizzle dressing, slice and plate).

    Special Diets and Multi-Diet Households

    Weekly meal prep routinely handles:

    • Allergies and intolerances
    • Vegetarian and pescatarian
    • Gluten-free, dairy-free, low-FODMAP
    • Athletic protocols (macros-aware meal planning when requested)
    • Medical diets — post-surgical, cardiology-protocol, diabetic
    • Multi-diet households — different plates for different members, prepared from the same cooking day

    Frequently Asked Questions

Why Book Weekly Meal Prep With Chef Matts

Bringing a chef into your home should feel calm, considered, and personal — not transactional. Every booking with Chef Matts Culinary Creations starts with a real conversation about your household: how many people you're feeding, the dietary preferences and restrictions involved, the kitchen we'll be working in, and the kind of experience you want to create. From there, Chef Matt builds a custom menu and confirms every detail in writing well before the date.

The service itself is fully turnkey. We handle planning, seasonal sourcing, in-home cooking, plating or portioning, and a complete kitchen cleanup before we leave. With more than eighteen years in professional kitchens — including time as an executive chef by age twenty-two and ongoing membership in the United States Personal Chef Association — Chef Matt brings restaurant-level technique into homes across South Jersey, the Jersey Shore, the Philadelphia Main Line, and South Carolina's Grand Strand.
