Most private chef relationships start with a consultation. We talk through how the household actually eats — preferences, restrictions, the dishes that get requested again and again, the ones that don't land. Cadence is set from there: weekly, twice-weekly, every other week, or a hybrid of standing service plus event-based work.
From the second visit forward, menus are tailored, sourcing is handled, and the kitchen is left as it was found.
Weekly Meal Prep
Weekly meal prep is the most common entry point. A typical engagement covers four to six dinners and several lunches, prepared in the client's home, packaged for the week, and labeled with reheat instructions calibrated to each dish — because reheating a seared duck breast is not the same as reheating a braise.
Menus rotate. Repeat dishes appear when requested, not by default. Seasonal ingredients shift the rotation through the year.
Recurring In-Home Cooking
For clients who prefer dinner served the night it's cooked, a chef can be on-site multiple evenings per week. Service ranges from family-style plating to full coursed dinners depending on what the household actually wants on a Tuesday versus a Saturday.
